In the latest Test ranking of International Cricket Council (ICC), Bangladesh Test skipper Mushfiqur Rahim and one day opener Soumya Sarkar have gained rating points and elevated their positions up in the ranking.
Mushfiqur Rahim now stands in 29th position, he has been risen six steps after scoring 85 in the first innings and 34 run in the second innings at Galle Test.
On the other hand, opener Soumya Sarkar stands in 55th position; a pair of half centuries at the Galle improved Soumya high up to 25th.
Australian captain Steve Smith is in the top of the list with 936 rating points while New Zealand skipper Ken Williamson is in the second position with 869 rating points. Newly appointed English captain Joe Root holds the third position with 848 points. Virat Kohli takes the fourth place in the ranking. Kohli has 847 points.
